Director of International Communications
Danae is a founding member of the Civil Commission for October 7th Crimes by Hamas Against Women and Children, established in the aftermath of the October 7th attacks. Alongside Dr. Cochav Elkayam-Levy, Danae played a pivotal role in shaping the commission’s mission to document and raise global awareness of these crimes.
As a seasoned communications professional with expertise in international media relations, development, and strategic marketing. Danae currently leads the commission’s international communications efforts, ensuring that the voices of victims of October 7th are heard worldwide and that justice is pursued.
In addition to her work with the Civil Commission, Danae also serves as the Director of International Communications at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she leads global communication strategies and initiatives.
Danae’s career is marked by her independence, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate complex media landscapes. She thrives in dynamic environments, leveraging her expertise in media relations, international outreach, and crisis communication to drive impactful initiatives. Her dedication to truth and justice continues to guide her work in both academia and human rights advocacy.
Previously, she served as the Director of International Communications at the Israel Democracy Institute, where she developed and executed communication strategies to promote democratic values on a global stage.
