Terms of Use

Welcome to the website of the Dvora Institute (R.A.) (hereinafter: “the Amuta”) at Dvora-institute.org (hereinafter: the “Site”).  The Amuta’s purpose is to promote the rights of women and to document and research the crimes of Hamas against women and children on October 7.

1. Agreement:

• Please read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (link) and refrain from using the Site and/or the services offered by the Amuta if you do not agree to them.

• Reading the contents of the Site and any use you make of the Site and of the Amuta’s services constitute your complete agreement to the following Terms of Use and to the Amuta’s Privacy Policy (link), which are an integral part hereof.

• The Terms of Use apply, whether you enter the Amuta’s Site or its Facebook page, whether via your computer or an application or your personal phone, etc.  If you are a minor (under the age of 18), do not use the Site.

2. Ownershp and Copyright:

• All intellectual property rights, including copyright, in the materials and content on this Site (such as:  creations, text, graphics, symbols, pictures, videos, letters, articles, position papers, etc. – hereinafter: “the Content”) are owned by the Amuta and/or third parties who have granted the Amuta permission to use them.

• The use of the Site and/or of the Content is for the personal and private use of the user only, and it is forbidden to make any other use of them, including commercial  and/or public and/or any other use.

• The user may make “fair use” of the Content and of the Site at his or her own responsibility, for studying and/or teaching and/or research if the user is an educational institution, subject to the provisions of law.  However, nothing contained herein should be construed as granting a license to the user or agreement to use specific uses of the Content, either explicitly or implicitly.

• Subject to “fair use” under laws of copyright, one may not copy, disseminate, broadcast, display, print, publish, photograph, edit, sell, place at the public’s disposal or in any other way make any use of the Site and/or any part thereof and/or of the Content, except with the Amuta’s prior written approval.  It is forbidden to distort, damage or make any other change or act which detracts from the Content, which may harm the dignity or name of the owner of copyrights, and credit must be given to the owner of the rights and the source indicated.

3. Use of the Site:

The use of the Site and viewing the Content on it is permitted for non-commercial purposes, and do not require prior registration.  No use may be made of the Site:

• In a manner which may be a criminal offense or a civil wrong under any law, or which may violate any third party’s rights.

• In a manner which harms or may harm the Amuta, other users of the Site, or entities connected to the Amuta.

• In order to damage the Site’s data protection, in order to locate weaknesses in the Site’s data protection, or in order to perform any kind of test, scan, collection of data, recreation of information, data mining, robotic navigation or hacking of the Site.

4. Links to Other Sites:

This Site contains links to other, external sites. These links are provided for your convenience. The other sites are not under the Amuta’s control, and it is not responsible for the content or a linked site or of any site linked to a  linked site, or to any changes or updates to such sites, and it is not responsible for any damage which may be caused due to referral to such sites or to reliance on their content. Any information or activities done on such sites are at the sole responsibility of the said sites and of the users, themselves, and one should read the terms of use and privacy policies of such sites, before surfing on them and using them.

5. Content on the Site and Limitations on Liability:

• The information and Content on the site are provided AS-IS.  The Content is informative only, and is not meant to be used for professional consultation, whether legal or otherwise.  While the Amuta makes efforts to provide accurate and trustworthy content, it is not responsible for any damage which might be caused as a result of reliance by the user on content published on the Site.

• The Amuta may, at its sole discretion, change the design and/or the structure and/or the contents of the Site and/or to cease providing the services and/or any other aspect of the Site, in part or in whole, at any time, and the user hereby waives any claims and/or demands in this regard.

• By using the Site and/or the Amuta’s services, the user agrees that the Amuta, its donors and/or anyone on their behalf, will not be liable for any damage, expense, loss or direct or indirect harm of any kind, which may be caused to the user as a result of the use and/or reliance on the content and services offered on the Site and/or which are provided to the user by the Amuta, and you hereby waive any claim and/or demand against any of the above parties, and release them from all liability.

• The user will have no claims for loss of date and/or programs in its possession and/or for disturbances during the use of the Site.

6. Privacy:

  Your privacy is important to us.  The Site’s Privacy Policy (link) is an integral part of the Terms of Use, and you should review it.

7. Changes in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy:

The Amuta may change the provisions of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy from time to time.  If substantial changes are made including regarding the use of information you have provided, notice will be given on the Site.

8. Applicable Law and Contact Details:

• For any question regarding the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy and our database, you may turn to the Amtua at info@dvora-institute.org.

• The laws of the State of Israel alone shall apply to this Site.  The exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes concerning or stemming from the use of the Site, directly or indirectly, shall be in the authorized courts in the District of Jerusalem.
